The number one question I get during the 3 weeks a year I run Mister Brown’s Art Camp is do I do anything during the school year? As most of you know having an outlet to break up the intensity of school/homework is important for creative kids to maintain a healthy balance.
I have recently completed a 2 year project of illustrating a children’s bible (which will be divided into 2 books by the publisher) that included over 90 full color illustrations that will be released this Easter. I have decided while working on my next project (a rhyming children’s book about a pirate) I will be sharing that process with some of my favorite art camp students as well as general art lessons. Also, if your kid has a project that requires art, I can almost guarantee an “A”.
I have permission to utilize a space in the Arlington Museum of Art for these classes, but I am open to other locations if the need requires. I also have a few advanced students that I work with at their homes. If there are parents from a particular school that want a group lesson for just those who attend school together, I can arrange times for that as well.
If you want to be added to the Mister Brown’s Art Class update list please respond through my website www.browncowproductions.com (contact the cow link) with the preferred phone number you want text updates sent. I will send out reminders of dates available with time slots and will need a confirmation on a particular time/date before I commit to arriving to teach for that time/day. The group rate is $25 a child per hour, with a personal lesson $40 per hour. I accept cash, MC/Visa or a check made out to Mike Brown.
As of right now, I have 8 available dates (with multiple times) before the Christmas break that I can meet students at the museum or other locations. More dates could be added, and will be sent by text updates.
November 13, 19, 20, 26 December 4, 11, 13, 18. For big groups, check with me and we can set up a different day/time that works with both our schedules.
I look forward to the continued artistic development of all your children, and thank you for sharing their talents with me.
